Mike Lowery from Blackpool England has designed a new means of generating electricity from tidal and river flows which can be used in a variety of locations as long as a flowing water source is present. His unique design of the chevron barrel gives the product the ability to be adaptable to any situation the generator is faced with ensuring a constant supply of renewable electricity.

It works by using two permanent magnetic motors located one at each side of the rotating barrel, as the barrel rotates in the flowing water this turns the motors which generates the electricity using magnets and copper coils. As the device works well in rivers and the ocean (using wave power) this device has opened new doors to the renewable energy sector and as received a lot of interest from manufactures and electricity generators according the official website.

Overall this new devise offers practicality and affordability for people looking to generate electricity on a small to medium output basis with almost 4kw of output being obtained using a 2m barrel on a river with a flow of around 5mph. Please visit the official website for more information and details regarding this amazing product at www.hydro-electric-barrel.com
